about Christa Lukas

Christa DeckerMy name is Christa Lukas (until 2001 my family name was Christa Decker) and since 1969 I am  SV-Member. From the beginning on , I have a deep relationship to the German shepherd dog, because my father was a fan of this breed - but only an adorer. So by consequence it was quite usual that we always held a shepherd-dog. Being 17 years old, together  with my just acquired " Julchen " (without geneological table), I decided to join a shepherd dog association and made my first steps in the local chapter of Worms. I had an outstanding instructor and training-supervisor – Heinz Krist -, but “Julchen” caused some major problems, as my beloved dog was not able to be instructed for the protection-service.

Since I had found now a wonderful hobby and marvellous leisure activities, I was sure to never give these up and got a male shepherd-dog for formation. Then I purchased " Clark of the  Hexentuermchen " , which I led on numerous checks, matches and also competitions. Being successful, I also collected important points for the dog leader port badge.

So by SV I received the "Große SV- Hundeführer- Sportabzeichen"; the "WUSV-Sonderleistungssportabzeichen Stufe 1", and by VDH the "Große Sportabzeichen".

It was in 1977 when I started to interest in the breed of the German shepherd-dog, just after the final-instruction of my dog " Eike of the Mohrsteiner Rock " (Sch H3, IPO 3, FH) . By 19.09.1977 , the name of my kennel "Vom Heiligenhäuschen" was then authorized and protected by the SV. From the very beginning, I tried to focus and strengthen the allround performance - not neglecting the important anatomy aspects.   George Dietrich, whom many sports association members know as being a performance judge, gave me profound advice while joining the local chapter of Westhofen.. My first throw (5,1) fell at 24.01.1978 from the mating " Eike of the Mohrsteiner  Fels " ./. " Roland of the Wohrabruecke ", the later VA dog.

At first I only was able to breed very few, since in the meantime I got a family with 3 daughters, that brought stress into my life. Recently, my kennel is successfully looking back on 40 throws and numerous dogs have been defined for further breedings. In 2000 I received the bronze "Züchterabzeichen" ( breeders badge) and in  2004 the one in silver.

At February 2009 I was honored for 40 Years of Membership, also my friend Heinz Krist for  50 Years SV-Membership. Heinz Krist and his wife Marianne are to now very best friends.

I hope and wish that I can follow my passion for many, many years together with my partner Erich Lucas
